Home Page - About Twisted Sisters Arts

Twisted Sister Arts started it's life as the Voice of the Shuttle. I originally wove shawls on a huge floor loom, but couldn't sell enough to justify the costs. Then I switched to hand dyed scarves and found that I needed scarf rings. They were made of wire and buttons, and sold better than the scarves! So it was necessary to change my business name to reflect what I was creating. Twisted Sister Arts was born. The first year of my designs, were made by purchasing glass or crystal elements, or using buttons (I had a ton!) or using found objects. I saved enough to purchase a small glass kiln. Soon, glass fusing became my passion and the embellishment was my focus. I still weave wire, embellish glass and make my designs, one at a time........ Jill Lawrence
